This design was a response to the need for privacy. This bedroom window was positioned so that outsiders could see inside from all the way down the street. Instead of investing in expensive and obscuring drapery, this solution was to create a painted pattern on the glass strategically so that visiblity from the outside would be obscured without the occupant having to surrender access to natural daylight.
