Gallery Space

This project was geared towards pushing the limits of objective-driven design. The goal was to design a gallery space within an assigned square space, where the only designed element was the ceiling. As such, our group decided to use a system of increasing skylights on a structural grid system. To this design, we added a system of translucent and opaque filters that can be adjusted to manipulate the interior ambience. The design was tested using a combination of renders and manual photography of physical model.
