Cardboard Magic

This project was a two-part challenge. Given the selected materials, we were told to create a dynamic shape that emphasised movement and direction. The first part of the challenge was to creae this 3-dimentional shape without using any form of adhesive or staples. To meet this restriction, I wove the materials together using slits, and held in a convex shape by inserting dividers between the layers. A woven macarame string holds the dividers together, and stirring rods keep the basket weave intact. The second challenge was to design the final structure so that it balances evenly on a single digit.
